"Master Study" Paul Klee Class - The Golden Fish
Swiss artist, Paul Klee (1879 - 1940), was not interested in painting the things around him because he believed that art should be about ideas, beliefs, and emotions. As a result, he incorporated strange symbols and fragments of writing into his artwork, aiming to evoke another, more magical world.
For this class, students will create their interpretation of Klee's 1925 painting, The Golden Fish. Klee used two types of paint in his original piece: watercolors and oil paints. Watercolors are thinner and ideal for creating transparent effects, while oil paints are thicker and produce vibrant colors.
Students will begin by sketching their sea creatures, plants, and squiggles. They will then fill their creations with wax crayons before applying watercolors to the backgrounds.

Gnome Ornament Class
Hanging gnome ornaments are a fun and versatile craft that is super easy to create. Let your imagination run wild as you paint your terracotta pot. The sky is the limit. After the primary assembly, add embellishments and glitter, or leave it as is, before adding the yarn hair and noses to finish the project. The eyes, of course, are optional.
