Snow White

The classic tale of Snow White takes the stage at the Colleton Civic Center. Lowcountry Youth Dance Academy (LYDA) reimagines a Brothers Grimm fairy tale of a jealous queen and a beautiful maiden through a dance performance for all ages. LYDA is an outreach program through the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities and will showcase 16 dancers in classical ballet, modern, and jazz. Snow White will occur at the Colleton Civic Center at 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 4th. Admission is free!

The Lowcountry Youth Dance Academy (LYDA) is an SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities Outreach Program offering free pre-professional ballet training to 5th-10th-grade students in the Lowcountry region.  Our physically demanding yet rewarding program offers a systematic approach to classical ballet, ensuring technical and artistic growth for serious and passionate students.
